How a Bybit Demo prop challenge works

PropGo uses managed Bybit Demo accounts for the evaluation. The exchange interface and market data are familiar, while the balance and execution environment remain simulated.

Reviewed 16 August 2026 · PropGo-specific rules are identified explicitly

The important distinction: “Bybit Demo” names the simulated delivery environment. It does not mean that the displayed challenge balance is a deposit, withdrawable capital, or a promise of a live funded account.

Purchase and activation are separate

After a confirmed purchase, PropGo creates the user account and a challenge enrollment in Purchased status. No exchange account is provisioned until the user presses Activate. This protects limited delivery capacity and avoids creating unused demo accounts.

At activation, the service checks country eligibility and available capacity, then provisions the managed demo environment at the purchased challenge size. Later catalog edits do not resize an already purchased challenge.

Follow the complete quote, confirmation, account-claim, and activation sequence in how to buy and activate a PropGo challenge.

What the trader receives

  • A login for the managed Bybit Demo environment.
  • Demo API credentials for compatible trading access.
  • A PropGo mobile dashboard showing challenge status, closed-target progress, equity history, and current drawdown room.

Credentials should be treated as sensitive. PropGo displays them only to the authenticated challenge owner and records reveal actions. A legitimate challenge flow never asks for your wallet seed phrase or a private key.

What PropGo monitors

The live worker reads normalized demo-account snapshots and checks equity, realized and unrealized P&L, and open-position count. Only a fresh snapshot can advance the target confirmation window; missing data does not silently reuse an old observation.

  • Closed-trade target: unrealized profit does not count.
  • Daily loss floor: trails the highest equity observed during the current UTC day.
  • Overall loss floor: remains static from the initial balance.
  • Integrity controls: unexplained balance changes and prohibited account behavior can trigger review or failure.

What happens between Stage 1 and Stage 2

Meeting the Stage 1 checkpoint changes the status to Passed — awaiting review. There is no timed auto-promotion. If the operator approves the result, PropGo tears down the old environment and starts Stage 2 with a fresh demo and reset evaluation state.

Stage 2 completion also enters review. An evaluation approval is not itself a reward payment; the implemented process is documented on How rewards work.

Provider and country availability

Because the delivery fabric depends on Bybit, a country can be unavailable even when crypto interest is high. PropGo combines its operator restrictions with the provider's restrictions and checks location again at activation. Do not use a VPN or false identity to bypass eligibility.

Frequently asked questions

Do I deposit crypto into the challenge account?

No. PropGo provisions a virtual balance on a managed Bybit Demo account. The purchase fee is not deposited as trading capital.

Does PropGo need my wallet seed phrase or private key?

No. A challenge does not require a wallet seed phrase or private key. Never share one with PropGo or anyone claiming to represent it.

Can every country activate a Bybit Demo challenge?

No. Country eligibility depends on PropGo rules and the delivery provider. Restricted locations are blocked at checkout and checked again at activation.

Before activation: verify the current service state on the status page, then read the challenge rules that are locked to the purchase.
